USDA certified organic food labels are popping up everywhere, and organic food is more and more popular. Everyone wants to feed their family the freshest, healthiest food available, and the growth hormones and antibiotics used in most commercial farms certainly aren’t either of those.
Unfortunately, USDA’s “organic” label doesn’t especially indicate you’re getting the food that’s the best for you or the environment. “Organic” meat simply means that the animals are fed organic feed, not treated with hormones or antibiotics, and have “access” to the ability to go outside.
In most cases, animals raised to be organic meat live in the exact same conditions non-organic animals do.
The beef from Tri-Vita Cattle is different. Our beef is grass-fed and finished with a certified organic, non-GMO, sea kelp and alfalfa hay feed. We want our beef to be the healthiest, freshest available and the entirety of our ranch helps us make sure that’s possible.
Tri-Vita Cattle practices regenerative agriculture and employs practices that make for better, healthier food on your plate. Our cows are raised entirely on-site--from birth to the day we ship them to the processor.
Our cows are raised almost entirely outdoors and for most of their life, feed on grass that is never treated with pesticides or fertilizers. Our steers are finished with certified organic, non-GMO, sea kelp feed, and alfalfa hay.
We never use antibiotics or growth hormones. We don’t even use chemical dewormers or fly control. It’s simply the healthiest, most natural beef available.
